Tips For Smoke & Fire
Dear Friends & Clients:
The intensity of fires and smoke can be challenging at this time. It is not a time to be fearful but to bring more power into our intentions and dream a new dream into being. In indigenous cultures, practices of shifting the weather to bring forth rain or sun was a form of weather shamanism which was commonplace. This is still is being practices as part of indigenous culture and is possible for each of us to learn more about and put into practice as well. I invite you to bring your intent into the energy of healing rain. Include this awareness into your daily practices and meditations. I will share more about these weather shamanic practices in my next post. For now, simply begin by bringing your awareness and feel the rain falling.
It is important to safeguard your health. We are not only dealing with smoke but chemicals from the fire retardants. There are many natural healing tools available. Below are some tips to add to your regime right away. Please share this with others.
Self Care Tips for the Smoke from Fires:
- Hydration Water. Drink as much as you can. Add some mineral drops to your water.
- Warm Liquids. These help lubricate and move saliva and tissues so toxins move out.
- Herbal Tea of Ginger, Tumeric, Licorice and Tulsi. Great for membranes and detox.
- Ginger. Add it to everything. Natural detox and great for circulation.
- Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Reduces oxidative stress. vitamin C is great for the lungs.
- Vitamin B. Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and immune properties.
- Essential oils of Eucalyptus and Rosemary. Simply rub a few drops on your chest. Create a steam by bringing water to boil in a large pot. Reducing heat and place a few drops in pot and inhale carefully.
- Forest Walk. Though being outside is not advisable, forests provide fresh oxygen.
- Coconut oil. Oils help move toxin out. Add extra to you diet or just have one half teaspoon on it's own,
- Oil self massage. Before or after your shower, rub coconut oil vigorously on your body.
- Nasal OIl. Allows the tissues of the nose to soften. This is an Ayurvedic remedy. You can purchase it online at the Ayurvedic Institute. It is called Super Nasya
- Neti pot. It keeps the nasal passageways clean and moving. Look up directions online.
- Sweating. Keeps the channels of elimination open.
- Clay. Consider doing a daily dose of bentonite clay. 1 teaspoon in 16 oz of water. Stir well and drink on an empty stomach. Drink lots of water.
